Date and Time Handling

  • An administrator can now specify the time zone of her group (see Configure Group on Admin Home), and should do so. If you do not, the time stamp in the subject of Audit Trail messages will be incorrect.
  • You can now control when it is too late to signup and too late to cancel a signup (see Create Schedule/Schedule Properties on Make Signup Schedule).
    • For this feature to work correctly, you must set the schedule's time zone correctly. Note that a schedule's time zone defaults to your group's time zone.
    • This feature's default setting is the same as the current behavior except that too-late to signup for on-site tasks is now 8 hours — to make it the same as the default cancellation deadline.
  • Form fields now have a new "User Can" option: Edit-until. If this option is chosen, the form field will become view-only after the schedule's signup/cancel deadline is reached.
  • Insert Days and Remove Days now allow you to specify an end date (i.e. instead of a count if desired).

Signup Schedules

  • You can now specify the preferred/initial arrangement of activities on your self-signup pages (see Create Schedule/Schedule Properties on Make Signup Schedule). In particular, if you want users to see a grid instead of a list, you would use this feature. A user can still change the page's arrangement while on the page, but whenever she visits it anew the preferred arrangement will be shown.
  • The grid view of admin signup pages now supports editing activity time and #-wanted. (Activity time period is now a link, as in the list view).
  • Changed activities-to-list behavior on self-signup pages: Available-to-do Ones no longer includes the user's own signups, and Upcoming Activities no longer includes the user's in-the-past signups.
  • On Self-Signup Home, replaced the Done-with-it and Recorded status's with: Activity Over.

Miscellaneous Stuff

  • Improved Search and View Report performance.
  • Added a new Import-Format column called "name". It is for use when you don't have separate first-name and last-name columns in your import data.
  • Some additional menu items have been added to the signup-status dropdown menu in the Search form.
  • Eliminated the phase-specific menu items (e.g. People Signed up for Takedown Activities) from the select-recipient-list dropdown menu on Email Announcement (because they were rarely of use and can be achieved thru use of the Search form).
  • Made minor wording changes in various places as usual.
